Thanks, I just bought a Bengali CD called Panchami Surey. The songs areser to RDs Hindi film tunes, but I loved it anyway I also got two albums in benagali. Dinesh and Steven? In a song from Gardish 'Rang Rangelle Raat Aayee' RDB has use an african piece Rd was inspired by quite a few western songs. Mehbooba,a song from HKKN were lifts. But u know what, they sounded much better than originals ! His fath I think he gave two of his best during that time Ijaazat and 1942 ALS sanras> I think the number of rehashed songs are less than that For someone's work that is so voluminous the % of rehashes is negligible You can add parinda also in the list I think Dil Padosi Hai was his best The background score of Parinda was very impressive. RDB, Gulzar, Lata, Asha, Kishore How can Majrooh & Gulshan Bawra be excluded Wherever you have songs from any three tatva (elements) from Pancham , It comes out to be Great The list is endless How about Anand Bakshi ? Pl. leave Bakhshi sahab alone. He has only harmed RD's reputation if anything please escuse my ignorance, but did rdb composed for sahir as well?
